The moon was sighted in Saudi Arabia, so the 1stday of Dhu Al-Hijjah 1439 is Sunday 12 August 2018.
The day of Arafat (9 Dhu Al-Hijjah) will be on Monday 20 August 2018
The first nine days of this month are recommended for fasting, most especially the day of Arafat.
The Coordination & Committee of Major Islamic Centres and Mosques of London has agreed that Eid Al-Adha will be on Tuesday 21 August 2018
